Service and Tyres Day

Dearest Intrepid Reader,

It’s time for the trikes to have the once over. New oil, new tyres for Rubilicious and the Loveliness. A service, for the Harley.

John’s Triumph Trophy, is the most low maintenance, and does not need a service or a tyre. It also gets the furtherest on a tank of fuel.

They were all booked in for 8am this morning and the three different Service Centres were all very close together in Midlands.

The Harley went to Harley Heaven!

Rubilicious went to the Can Am dealer!

The Loveliness went to FC Moto!

The MOTH likes to provide careful instructions, on the care of the Loveliness and made his way into the workshop.

There was a couple of side eyes and ruffled feathers but he will not be deterred.

Right side of the tyre, not to bad, but down to the tell tales on the left.

This is Izzy, she is a first year motorbike mechanic, she was very happy to be involved in the care of the Loveliness. She also polished the chrome, how impressive. Justin the Mechanic, looked a bit too, happy, when he rode her out of the workshop and then along the road a bit. If he had a helmet on I don’t think I would have ever seen her again!

We then popped back next door to wait for the Harley. There was a lot of interest in my ride out the front, by one of the Harley Mechanics, he was quite taken with her. He then invited us up to the lounge and actually made a coffee for us, himself. Quite the star treatment here at Harley Heaven. The MOTH ended up with a new tyre as well. So we certainly paid out enough for the star treatment, I assure you.

Jenny and I may of got carried away and had far too much fun in the Highway lounge, while we waited.

There is the The Harley over the back in the workshop! We were both finished by about 12, but Can Am were dragging the chain.

Kings Park

We had time to ride into Kings Park, just for a quick look.

Kings Park, managed by the Botanic Garden’s and Park Authority, has an international reputation for scientific research, leading horticultural conservation and public education. Kings Park is also home to the Western Australian Botanic Garden which displays over 3000 species of the states unique flora.

We then returned to Scarborough Beach, where we are staying. We topped up with fuel and checked the tyre pressure. We run about 28psi in my front tyre.

We are now ready to roll out of Perth, tomorrow morning. We are not sure what time. That will depend on the weather.

We have loved our time in the city of the West.

When you ride out to find the way the way will appear!

Until next time
