QUEENSLANDER!
Today was the first of three homecoming’s.
After only 3 days and 1300kms in New South Wales, we have returned to our home state.
We left Coffs Harbour at 700hrs this morning and walked in to Mum and Dads, in Bethania South Brisbane at 1200hrs, after an enjoyable ride in perfect weather on the M1.
We had a stop for breakfast in Tyndale, which is just near Maclean. We had coffee looking over the cane fields.
This was the sign on the toilets, I still managed to head in the wrong direction.
It is not really possible to stop for the border sign but I did do a bit of a punch in the air as we crossed over. The MOTH missed it completely. To busy watching the road, apparently!
Mum and Dad were waiting for us. Mum cried and Dad snapped a photo! It’s great to come home to your Mum and Dad.
Alliott and Sam arrived as well, and amidst washing of clothes and trikes we had a great catch up during the afternoon!
There was a big pot of Stew with Rice. The MOTH had seven helpings, it was like he had not had a decent feed for the last seven weeks. There was even a “Welcome Home” chocolate cake.
Our trip has prompted many memories for Mum and Dad of their Motorhome travels around Australia. It is great to share our experiences and memories around the table. They have been following along with maps and camps books, making sure they knew where we were, and sometimes giving a few bits of advice as to what we should not miss out on.
Mum, although happy for our return, said she would miss the daily blog updates and was sad it was coming to an end!
As you ride out to find the way,
The way will appear.
Until Next time
